About Pathways' Day Center

The Day Center, located in Downtown Birmingham, provides for the basic needs of any homeless woman or child who visits the center. This includes meals, showers, laundry facilities, clothing, hygiene products, and other items needed by those living on the streets. The Day Center is open 365 days a year.

In addition to providing basic needs, Pathways offers computer lab, case management, life skills, and educational classes to Day Center guests. These services allow them to be better candidates for transitional and permanent housing programs. Without the supportive services and basic needs provided by the Day Center, our guests would remain homeless for longer periods of time.

The Day Center provides stability, basic dignity, and nourishment of the body and soul to guests. Whether staying on the streets or in emergency shelter, all women and children experiencing homelessness are eligible to utilize the Day Center.
