Safe Haven is the only program of its kind for women in the state of Alabama. It began in 2006 and can house 10 women at a time. Safe Haven provides a small, homelike environment for chronically homeless women with a mental illness while offering supportive services. Guests in this program can stay at Pathways indefinitely.
Parson's Place is a transitional shelter with 16 beds for single women with a job. This program allows guests to stay 6 months, sometimes more depending upon the situation. During their stay they receive case management, participate in life skill classes and work on achieving independence.
